RNG adapter for FX7

Postby nekkolai on Sat Mar 07, 2009 2:52 pm

How will the RNG adapter work for the Sony FX7? Since the front thread size on the FX7 is 62mm I was wondering if it would work fine with the 72mm adapter and a step-up ring?

Yes that is the solution that is meant to work. The step up or step down rings to nothing to effect the quality.

I also own an FX7 and the latest version of the RNG35, and that is all you need: a step-up ring that is 62mm to 72mm. It works well with the FX7.
It attaches to the camera and everything, but I am still working out some kinks before I can use my adapter. Seems a little loose and vibrates when the motor is on, and the lens release is very loose and doesn't operate well. Other than that, it's very well made and works great! Can't wait to start filming with it.
