To spin or not to spin?

Thanks to our customers, the RNG35 has evolved from a plastic plumbing tube static adapter, to a fully professional vibrating adapter in less than a year.

We would love to hear your feedback. Please post any suggestions you might have that would make the RNG35 better. If you would like to see some kind of new functionality or accessory added to the RNG35 adapter, we would also like to know what "you" want as a customer. We will listen and strive to make the RNG35 even better than it already is.

To spin or not to spin?

I was just curious what everyone thinks of a spinning ground glass adapter? Would you buy one over a vibrating gg if cost were no issue? Is it the compactness of the RNG35 that you like? What if you could have both compact and spinning gg?

Any thoughts?

hi i think it very much depends on the quality of the image it produces. do you think you'll get out a much better image? im sure there are some "spinning fans" out there but as much as i know there are still pros and contras for both vibrating and spinning adapters.
on the one hand i think cost is an issue for many rng users, i ordered it because i think it has the best price/perfomance ratio. on the other hand f. e. a sgpro for half the size and weigth, same quality and a reasonable price....
why not.
however i wouldnt make it too expensive (like letus ultimate  ) cause the scarlet will get in the starting blocks!

Tracey, I'm a fan of the spinner rather than the vibrator however, I chose the RNG35 because of compactness for run & gun event shooting. Big units like the letus or SGPro are simply not practical for live event documentary work where you need to travel as light as possible with minimum gear. Also the price was big plus too :)

Thanks for thinking of us full-time event shooters who shoot video & super 8 film together. Your DOF adaptor will make life so much easier matching video & film in post - not everybody who wants a shallow DOF adaptor is an ind-film maker ;)
